Synopsis :
Chand, a young woman, leaves her home and loving family behind in India to build a new life in Canada. She moves to Brampton, Ontario and marries Rocky, a man she has never met.Rocky is overwhelmed by all the pressures that rest on his shoulders: dealing with his controlling mother and confused father and supporting his sister, her husband and two children who are all crowded into a small house in the suburbs. To make matters worse, he is solely responsible for putting up the money that will allow his extended family to immigrate to Canada. And all of this on a cab drivers salary.Educated and bright, Chand feels trapped in a world she cannot connect with. Estranged and mistreated by her new family, she feels homesick and misses her family in India but cannot reach out to them. Chand enters this life to find that the family is expecting her to become a slave to their needs and her new husbands life pressures wear down his basic decency to the point where Chand becomes the brunt of all of his frustrations.While working in a factory cleaning and pressing hotel napkins, she meets ROSA who sees past the make-up that covers her badly bruised face. Streetwise yet mystical, Rosa gives Chand a magical root that is supposed to bring out the love of the recipient. Chand administers the potion but finds the results of the ministration confusing. Lacking any of the support systems of her family and desperate for somewhere to turn Chand begins to fantasize another version of her life which interlaces an ancient Indian fable about a King Cobra.

Ek The Power of One 2009
Synopsis :
Nandu did not know what his fathers name was and his mother had died when he was born। He survived nevertheless and by the time he was 9 years old the corrupt world had filled in him, hatred so strong that he lost all feelings of compassion and humanity. With no other ambitions and goal and armed with only a will to survive and give back to the world what it had given him, Nandu took to the world of crime. He killed…his first victim was when he was just 9 years old….The opposition leader Bhushan Purohit hires Nandu for a unique job. He wants Nandu to make an assassination attempt on him while he would be addressing a rally to kick start his election campaign. Bhushan is sure that the attempt would create a sympathy wave so strong that he would tide over the elections to an overwhelming victory. The day of the rally arrives and everything is going according to the plan. Nandu locks his target but before he could fire a bullet rips through the forehead of Bhushan Purohit. Nandu is shocked. To his horror he sees Rocky's car being blown away by a truck which smashes into his car. Police surround the area and almost zeroes in on Nandu who in a daredevil fashion makes his escape into a running train. It is here that Nandu meets Shekhar. Shekhar is very excited as he is returning to his house after 14 years. He had run away as a child due to an incident and it was off late that he pined to go back home when he realized that his grandfather was still waiting for him to come back. He shows him the watch that belonged to his grandfather and which he had taken with him. He tells him about his cousin who was getting married and it would be a family reunion on this happy occasion. The train stops at a station. Nandu is shocked to see that the police have followed the train. They had seen him from the back and the officer looks at him and trains his gun towards him. As he takes the shot Shekhar comes in the way accidentally and is hit…Shekhar dies on the spot…as he falls down his eyes imploringly stare at Nandu…the watch in his hands falls down…the police converge into the apartment and find Nandu missing…The beautiful quaint house set in the midst of greenery is full of celebrations…the occasion is Baisakhi but more than that it is the expected return of Shekhar that has the members of the house in this state of happiness. Shekhar's grandfather, his three bua's, their husbands, the kids of the house, his cousin who is going to get married and Preet all are waiting to see him. Preet is the daughter of Shekhar's grandfather's best friend Arvind who had died in an accident years back and she has grown up in this house. She is full of life and colors, beautiful, buxom, innocent, energetic, and carefree. She also believes that she is the most beautiful girl one could come across.Nandu arrives and the kids assume that he is Shekhar. Emotions take over everyone as they welcome him. Preet is enamored by him from the word go and stares at him as if she is seeing a Greek god. It is an emotional high as Nandu meets Shekhar's grandfather. When he returns his watch to him tears well up in his eyes and he says that time had stopped when Shekhar had run away and now it had began back for him. At this point Nandu realizes that all is not as well as it seemed in the house…there was a lot of hidden pain in what the grandfather had said. His decision to stay here and find out more is cemented. The various family members are introduced and each of them is one of a kind. He strongly connects with the grandfather and the eldest bua whose daughter is going to get married and for the first time starts realizing what family and love of a family is all about. Preet starts wooing him and in his presence feels very conscious and wants him to notice her beauty. Among all this fun and happiness Nandu finds out the problems that the family are faced with and in his own way helps them come out of it. Soon he starts changing his opinion and softening and reacting to emotions…something which he had never felt before. He also starts falling for Preet. The case of Bhushan Purohit's assassination was hotting up and special officer from the CBI, Nandkumar Rane…popularly known as Inspector Rane, is given the responsibility of tracking down the killer. Ins. Rane has his own unique way of functioning and is a huge threat to Nandu. Soon enough Ins. Rane's investigation leads him to Shekhar's village where he meets Nandu. Will Nandu be able to come out of the crisis a winner? Will the family come to know about his truth? What would be the fate of Nandu and Preet's love story? Who was the real killer of Bhushan Purohit? "Ek – The Power of One" is a journey that Nandu undertakes and learns the true meaning of life in an entertaining narrative encompassing various emotions that comprise life.

"Life is beautiful"…It is always said, and for Rohit Avasti (25), this seems to be very true. Though his job as a junior accountant with "femme",a leading fashion magazine, is not very promising, he is still enjoying every bit of it because that's the only way and place where he can meet simran…simran kapoor(24) his love, his obsession, his goal in life. Rohit's friend Kabir (26) has made several attempts to warn Rohit that Simran is only manipulating him for her personal gains, but fails to succeed and it is in this scenario that Soha is introduced to Rohit. Soha (24) is aware of Rohit's one - sided unconditional love for Simran, yet finds it difficult to hold herself back. Coming from a disturbed family background, she craves for a strong relationship, with a caring man who can heal her deep wounds. Her heart beats faster whenever she is with him and re-iterates the fact that she is indeed in love with him. Sohas mystic persona draws rohit closer to her. His otherwise dull life is sprinkled with colors of soha's virgin love and charm. Both of them hold hands to walk the aisle under the rainbow unaware of the dark clouds hovering above them. Just when things were going good for rohit and he was basking in Soha's love he is made to participate in a bet without his consent … by whom and why??? Rohit fails to understand. The bet… "A pregnant lady whom Rohit does not know is about to deliver a baby. If she delivers a baby girl Rohit stands to win rupees 3 lakhs in cash and if in case she delivers a baby boy Rohit will get nothing."
Though not wanting to, Rohit wins the bet and earns Rs. 3 lakhs but who is playing this game with him he wonders again, this is when he is lured into the second bet. This time the stakes are higher and so is the risk. Life is not only beautiful but also very grateful, Rohit thinks, for love is smiling at him on one end and on the other the goddess of wealth. He plunges himself in second betting willingly and wins Rs. 7 lakhs and now the battle of love and greed starts. The beautiful life that promised happiness and bliss is now spitting fire of disaster. Friends have become foes. The greed for money has overshadowed the brightness of love. The last bet for one crore rupees turns ugly and rohit is framed for a murder, which he did not commit. The fight for truth begins and the ensuing drama unfolds a story never told before.
Though dark, at times the narrative has a subtle humor. It is a love story spiced up with thrills, nail biting suspense, electrifying pace with unexpected twists …..It's a game, which has a beginning but no end, and Rohit avasti is a part of it. What began as a simple fun game has become a bizarre bloody ordeal. Rohit, who always wanted to make it big but had no means and when he had it… life had some other bloody plans for him.

Synopsis :
In the midst of central London, a successful Indian restaurant called 'Gaylord' is run by a Londoner of Indian origin called Pinu. A simple soul at heart, Pinu has many complexes - a special one being that he is a virgin and has experienced no intimacy with a woman. To top that, his biggest fear is to be laughed at by people… an ever-repeating phenomenon with him. Pinu is quite an introvert and has no real friends… the closest he has ever gotten to a friendship is with his foster brother Rajat, who is quite a contrast to his own personality. Rajat is very fond of Pinu, though is often a source of annoyance to him as he finds Pinu really funny. One day, a young Indian fellow called Kamlesh come to his restaurant and asks for a job as a stand-up comedian. Quit thrown off, Pinu initially refuses but finally lets him join as a cook, who also does a stand-up act in the evenings. On the same day, he hires a new cashier – Renu, a young art student from India, who has a passion for caricatures. Life changes dramatically for Pinu as Gaylord begins to transforms… Renu works on the look of the place makes cheerful caricatures for customers while Kamlesh is fabulous cook with a great talent for making people laugh in his acts soon the restaurant is more happening and the business is much better. But the greatest difference in Pinu’s personality now as he lets himself hang-out a bit with them. One fine day, Pinu is thrown in to a daze as he walks away from the restaurant… he has discovered a totally new fear - he might be Gay!! Pinu seeks refuge in Rajat's advice which is quite simply - screw a woman! On a mission now, Pinu goes on a rampage seeking available women for a sexual rendezvous. However, it leads to him suffering another string of tragicomic situation, ending up feeling humiliated… and laughed at! Straight!! Is a funny tale about Pinu, who struggles with himself, his fears and his complexes, to 'come out' as straight and find himself a love story.

The film Gulaal is about an innocent student Dileep who comes to Jaipur to study, accompanied by his faithful servant Bhanwar. Here he comes in contact with Rananjay Singh "Ransa" (contemporary intelligent, sensitive young man who refuses to abide by traditions; his ideologies clash with his father's, the local raja), Jadwal (with old school of thought he is the college goon who rags Dileep); Anuja (professor ragged with Dileep; despair brings both together and a strong emotional bond develops between them) Dukey Bana (powerful local figure who leads an army of radical Rajputs struggling to get the Rajputana back from the Government of India challenging the very idea of democracy); Kiran (uses Dileep for power and personal interest). Against a backdrop of local political intrigue, the film begins with a Rajput conglomerate gaining strengthen as Dukey Bana and a few ex-Royals convince a reluctant Ransa to contest for the college elections on behalf of the Rajputana party; Ransa and Kiran battle it for General Secretary's post. The rivalry between the two gangs intensifies and Ransa is forced to withdraw, which he resists. Eventually this leads to his murder by Karan (Kiran's brother and Rasna's illegitimate sibling). Using the sympathy wave, Dileep is compelled to contest elections in Ransa's place and made to win. After losing the elections Kiran tries winning Dileep's trust, gets close to him and pretends to fall in love. As he tries to fit into the shoes of the General Secretary an insecure Dileep gets emotionally dependent on Kiran and distance grows between him and Anuja. Dileep finds himself trapped in political maneuvers and realizes that this is not what he had wanted. It dawns to him that he is being used by Dukey; when Dileep confronts Dukey, he is faced with a horrifying truth! Dukey Bana is masterminding a Rajputana movement, to have a separate state ruled by Rajputs. In a gamut of Red faces (Gulaal is put over the faces to mask their true identity), Dileep sees the truth behind Dukey and his actions. So Dileep decides to resign from the post of the General Secretary. Dileep resign and Kiran takes charge. As soon as in power, she refuses to meet Dileep and tries to get close to Dukey using her feminine charm. A lovelorn and rejected Dileep gets more and more frustrated, abusive and violent in desperation. This behavior creates a distance between Dileep and the people who truly love and understand him. Blinded by his love for Kiran, Dileep goes into a frenzy becoming a sorry and inevitable victim of circumstances. The whole madness around Dileep intensifies; sense of conspiracy and feeling of a fake unrequited love push him to the edge... Gulaal races to an unforgettable climax... out of the faces painted in Gulaal, a face is revealed... the face of the new leader...

Karma Aur Holi 2009
Meera (Sushmita Sen) & Dev (Randeep Hooda) play a couple living in New York. After a few years of marriage and togetherness, they seem to have lost the magic in their relationship.
Act - 1
It is the eve of Holi, a festival of colours that heralds the coming of spring in India. Dev and Meera plan a get-together with a few close friends and relatives at their place.
The invitees are: Javed (Armin Amero) a flamboyant New York based struggling filmmaker and a friend of Dev and Meera, Jenny (Naomi Campbell), Javed's girl friend, an aspiring actor. Vani (Rati Agnihotri), Meera's elder sister, who has a son Vikram (Chandan), a teenager, who is unlike his peers, thanks to his over protective mother. And Shekhar (Suresh Oberoi), Vani's husband, who has almost no ambitions, and consequently, no success. Then there is Sujata (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi), a typical Indian housewife, who is wed to an American born Indian Nimish (Shauvik) - a doctor by profession. Nimish believes excessively in his gender superiority. Preeti (Deepal Shaw) is Sujata's younger sister - A complete party animal, a rich spoilt new age girl.
There is also Megan (Drena De Niro), a Tarot card reader, a friend and well wisher of Dev & Meera.
Act 2
A party gone wrong, a joy filled evening turns serious when an unexpected, unmentionable incident before the celebrations, triggers tipsy party goers to confess their inner most secrets that have never been revealed. The results are catastrophic as this seemingly harmless game gets out of hand.
Act 3
Will their lives be the same again? Can the morning of Holi bring new promises and new beginnings to old relationships?
